Happy Eva AFTA
We’re delighted to inform our staunch fans that The Insatiable Moon has been entered into all the major categories for the Aotearoa Film & Television Awards! This has only been made possible by the outstanding generosity of our supporters who believe in the film. We’re a small and light operation that draws on people power, and the campaign to get entered into the AFTAs is a huge demonstration of how that works. And it kind of lines up with Arthur’s philosophy of life…
From here on in, we’ll be in the hands of the judges, which is all we wanted. For a while there the cost of entering seemed an insurmountable barrier. It turned out to be just another opportunity to trust in the magical journey of the film, and the people who love it and are prepared to show their support in such practical ways.
We are entered in the following categories:
Best Cinematography in a Feature Film – Thomas Burstyn
Best Sound in a Feature Film – Steve Finnigan, Tom Miskin, Mike Bayliss (Images & Sound)
Best Editing in a Feature Film – Paul Maxwell
Best Original Music in a Feature Film – Neville Copland
Best Lead Actor in a Feature Film – Rawiri Paratene
Best Lead Actress in a Feature Film – Sara Wiseman
Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film – Ian Mune
Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film – Greg Johnson
Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film – Teresa Woodham
Best Feature Film – The Insatiable Moon
Best Director of a Feature Film – Rosemary Riddell
Best Screenplay for a Feature Film – Mike Riddell
We are supremely grateful to our donors who have gone out of their way to make this possible. Hats off to:
