So what’s happening?

It’s been a bit quiet on the blog front of late. Not because there’s nothing happening – more that it’s business as usual. But maybe it’s a good time to provide a short update.

  • The Insatiable Moon screened at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa on July 4, and will have a second outing there at 8.00pm Saturday July 9.
  • In the UK, the run in cinemas is drawing to a close. The film will screen at Greenbelt Arts Festival next month ahead of the UK DVD release in October.
  • We will be featuring in a US festival in September – details to be announced shortly.
  • The Hokianga Film Festival will welcome Moon later this month 29-31 July (homeland of Rawiri Paratene).
  • A documentary called Lunatic: Destigmatizing Mental Illness with Arthur of Ponsonby has been completed and will shortly be available for sale, complete with a discussion guide booklet. It explores some of the themes of the feature film.
  • In the next few weeks a generic DVD will be available for sale in international territories other than NZ and the UK. This means that some of you who have been clamoring to see the film will finally be able to.
  • Watch this space for the announcement of the ‘Moon Ambassadors’ scheme, where fans of the film get the chance to participate in its remarkable story.

As always, we’re grateful to our supporters who have become part of the magic of the movie. Thank you.
