Rapt to be here
So we’re all still here – or at least if the rapture happened then we’ve got rid of the self-righteous prigs who were so sick of life on earth they wanted to depart.
I’ve always been suspicious of people who think that death is better than life – not a bad litmus test for religious beliefs. Seems to me that if you don’t know how to enjoy the life you’ve got, any other hypothesis is escapism. But then what do I know?
Arthur opens our eyes to the magic around us – the small moments of wonder and mystery woven into the fabric of everyday gritty life. Air, laughter and love are there for the enjoyment of; or at least until those with shiny shoes find a way to tax them. A poor man with bare feet and strange habits my sometimes know more about joy than all the billionaires in the world.
It’s what Arthur calls half-pie theology.

Mary Trainor-Brigham says:
Lovely ruminations as ever, Mike! I’d love to attend a seance & meet Arthur!
