The Auckland premiere of The Insatiable Moon took place on 17 July, as part of the NZ Film Festival. For those of you who missed out (it was a sold out screening), there’s a slightly lower key but celebratory launch of the cinematic release – which will take place at 8.30pm on Thursday 7th October at the Bridgeway Cinema in Northcote Point. The Bridgeway has always functioned as a kind of de facto Ponsonby cinema, so it seems appropriate to be opening there. Several of the major players in the film will be present for an introduction and Q&A. There’ll be a special ticket price of $20 which includes a glass of wine – you can book here.

And if the timing is awkward for you, there’s also a special screening at Newmarket Rialto, 6.30pm on the 7th, at which director Rosemary Riddell and writer Mike Riddell will be present for an introduction to the film. You can book for the Rialto screening through the cinema’s online site.
