Up up and away…
It’s been a few days since updating this blog – we’ve been doing some serious celebrating!
In an article I wrote for Onfilm magazine (which has featured Moon as their cover story for this month), I said:
“Whether audiences are willing to enter that world or not will prove to be the determining factor in evaluating it. For us, that remains to be revealed…. the final chapter in the long saga will be written by those who sit quietly, waiting for the main feature to begin.”
Well the waiting is over. Two wonderful screenings, two standing ovations! For all of us who have been involved in the making of this film, it was indescribably wonderful to be among audiences which laughed and cried in all the right places, and that were so fulsome in their praise during the Q&A sessions. Only now is it safe to say that the huge sacrifices made by so many people to get this film made have been worth it. As they say in this business, the film has legs.
The premiere was great – sufficient glitz and glam with limos, red carpet, photographers yada yada… and the after-party was so successful that some of us are still recovering. After 8 years, it really was time to party!
Thank you to all of those who have dreamed with us, and helped to make this film possible.
